Category development index (CDI)

CDI or Category Development Index measures the percentage of sales for a category in a given market versus the percentage of the US population in that market.

CDI or Category Development Index measures the percentage of sales for a category in a given market versus the percentage of the US population in that market. CDI identifies markets that over-index on consumption of a product and can indicate good areas to target for marketing activities, promotion support and new product launches.
